Biosphere uses the WordPress Customizer for all theme settings. Go to Appearance → Customize to access all options with a live preview of your changes.

General Settings

Colors

Configure the main color scheme of your website. All color options support transparency (alpha channel).

• Header Background Color — Background color for the site header. Default: #172129
• Accent Color — Used for highlighted elements throughout the theme. Default: #344655
• Link Color — Color for all hyperlinks. Default: #2e9df7
• Links Hover Color — Color when hovering over links. Default: #143b5b
• Footer Color — Background color for the footer area. Default: #172129
• Footer Bar Color — Background color for the bottom footer bar. Default: #0b1015

Social Media

Add your social media profiles. Each entry has three fields:

1. Link Text — Name of the social network (e.g., Facebook, Instagram)
2. Link URL — Full URL to your profile
3. Font Awesome Icon — Icon class (e.g., fab fa-facebook-f)

Click Add Row to add more social networks. These icons appear in the header toolbar and can be toggled on/off in the Header Settings.

Multi-column Colors

Biosphere uses a multi-color accent system for visual variety across content sections. The default colors are Blue (#0095da), Green (#93b631), Yellow (#ffcb0c), Red (#d7151a), and Purple (#a54886). You can customize or add more colors using the repeater.

User Pages

Assign pages for user-related functions:

• Login Page — Select the page to use for user login
• Registration Page — Select the page for new user registration
• Subscriptions Page — Select the page for subscription management
• Donations Page — Select the page for the donation form

Header Settings

Toolbar Buttons

• Donate Button Text — Text for the donation button. Default: “Make a Donation”
• Donate Button URL — Link for the donation button
• Shopping Cart — Show/hide the WooCommerce cart icon
• My Account — Show/hide the My Account link
• Login/Log Out — Show/hide the Login option
• Social Icons — Show/hide social media icons in the header

Logo

Go to Site Identity to upload your logo. If no logo is uploaded, the site title will be displayed instead. Use the Logo Width slider (10–450px) to adjust the logo size.

Slider Settings

Configure the homepage slider with up to 4 slides. Each slide has:

• Title — Main heading text
• Subtitle — Supporting text below the title
• Image — Background image for the slide
• Button Text — Call-to-action button label
• Button URL — Link destination for the button

Enable Autoslide to rotate slides automatically.

Custom Post Type Settings

Biosphere includes several Custom Post Types. For each one, you can customize the URL slugs, labels, archive layout, and sidebar. The available post types are:

Causes

• URL Rewrite — Base slug for causes (default: cause)
• Category URL Rewrite — Category slug (default: cause-category)
• Singular/Plural Name — Change the labels (e.g., “Campaign” instead of “Cause”)
• All Causes Page — Select the page that displays all causes
• Donation Page — Select the page where users can donate
• Archive Columns — 1, 2, 3, or 4 columns
• Archive Sidebar — Choose which sidebar to display

Projects

Same options as Causes: URL rewrite, category slug, singular/plural names, archive page, columns, and sidebar.

Events

Same options as Causes: URL rewrite, category slug, singular/plural names, and events page selection.

Documents

Same options as Causes: URL rewrite, category slug, singular/plural names, archive page, columns, and sidebar.

Staff

Same options as Causes: URL rewrite, category slug, singular/plural names, archive page, columns, and sidebar.

Sponsors

Same options as Causes: URL rewrite, category slug, singular/plural names, archive page, columns, and sidebar.

Post Settings

• Single Post Sidebar — Select which sidebar to display on single posts
• All Posts Page — Select the page that shows all blog posts
• Archive Columns — 1, 2, 3, or 4 columns for archive/category pages
• Archive Sidebar — Choose which sidebar to display on archive pages

Footer Settings

Banner

A call-to-action banner above the footer. Configure:

• Display/Hide — Toggle the banner on or off
• Title — Banner heading text
• Description — Supporting text
• Button Text — CTA button label (default: “Make a Donation”)
• Button URL — Button link destination
• Background Image — Upload a background image for the banner

Copyright

Toggle the copyright section and customize the copyright text.
