You can add new galleries through Galleries<\/strong> \u2192 Add New Gallery<\/strong> in the WordPress Administration Panel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Galleries<\/strong> \u2192 Add New Gallery<\/strong> screen.<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Galleries contain most of the same options as standard posts. You can read about these in the Add New Post chapter<\/a>. Additionally, they contain post options specific to galleries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Gallery Options<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Gallery\u00a0Options are found below the editor on the Edit Galleries\u00a0page. If the Gallery\u00a0Options are not visible, make sure they are checked inside the\u00a0Screen Options<\/strong>\u00a0area at the top.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you are adding a new gallery, make sure you have saved the post before editing gallery\u00a0options. Otherwise, the gallery\u00a0options will not be visible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Header image<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The header image is displayed behind the title at the top of the single gallery page in the front-end. Select a wide but short image, around 1680px x 275px. Click the +<\/strong> button to upload an image.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you don\u2019t add a header image, the default background color will be displayed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Gallery<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The gallery section is used to create a slideshow of images to be displayed at the top of the post. Click Add New<\/b> to add a new image. You can also click the pencil icon<\/strong> on an existing image to edit it, or the bin icon<\/strong> to delete this image.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Title<\/strong> is used to help you identify the image, and is not displayed in the front-end. The Caption<\/strong> is the text displayed at the bottom of the image \u2013 you can leave this field empty. Finally, the Gallery Image<\/strong> is the image displayed for this slide. Click +<\/strong> to select or upload an image. The recommended size is 1200px x 800px, but any size will be displayed correctly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sidebar option<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Set to On<\/strong> to display the sidebar on the single gallery page for this post. Disabling the sidebar can provide a more immersive experience for your gallery.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Share buttons<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Set to On<\/strong> to display the sharing buttons for Twitter, Facebook, Pinterest and Google+.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
