The latest post is always displayed first. Posts usually have comments and are included in your site&#8217;s RSS feed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"the-block-editor-gutenberg\">The Block Editor (Gutenberg)<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>WPlook themes use the WordPress <strong>Block Editor<\/strong> (also known as Gutenberg). Instead of a single text area, you build your content using individual blocks \u2014 paragraphs, headings, images, lists, and more. Each block can be moved, styled, and configured independently.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To add a new post, go to <strong>Posts \u2192 Add New<\/strong> in your WordPress admin panel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"writing-a-post\">Writing a Post<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Click <strong>Posts \u2192 Add New<\/strong> from the main menu.<\/li><li>Enter your post title in the field at the top.<\/li><li>Click the <strong>+<\/strong> button or type <strong>\/<\/strong> to add content blocks (Paragraph, Heading, Image, List, etc.).<\/li><li>In the right sidebar, assign <strong>Categories<\/strong> and <strong>Tags<\/strong> under the Post tab.<\/li><li>Set a <strong>Featured Image<\/strong> from the Post tab in the sidebar.<\/li><li>Configure any theme-specific options in the sidebar (see below).<\/li><li>Click <strong>Publish<\/strong> when ready, or <strong>Save Draft<\/strong> to continue later.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"common-blocks\">Common Blocks<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Paragraph<\/strong> \u2014 Standard text block. Press Enter to create a new paragraph.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Heading<\/strong> \u2014 Section titles (H2 for main sections, H3 for subsections).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Image<\/strong> \u2014 Upload or select images from the media library. Always add alt text for accessibility.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>List<\/strong> \u2014 Bulleted or numbered lists.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Quote<\/strong> \u2014 Styled blockquotes for highlighting text.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Gallery<\/strong> \u2014 Display multiple images in a grid layout.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Video \/ YouTube<\/strong> \u2014 Embed videos directly by pasting a URL.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"theme-options-in-the-sidebar\">Theme Options in the Sidebar<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-white-color has-vivid-cyan-blue-background-color has-text-color has-background\"><strong>Important:<\/strong> WPlook themes are migrating to Gutenberg metaboxes. In updated themes, theme-specific options (such as header images, layout settings, and custom fields) appear in the <strong>right sidebar<\/strong> under the post settings panel. Open the sidebar by clicking the <strong>Settings<\/strong> icon (gear icon) in the top-right corner. In older theme versions, these options may still appear below the editor content area.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The exact options available depend on your theme. Common options include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Header Image<\/strong> \u2014 A background image displayed behind the post title.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Layout Options<\/strong> \u2014 Sidebar position, full-width toggle.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Post Format<\/strong> \u2014 Standard, Video, Quote, etc. Changes how the post is displayed on the front end.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Check your theme&#8217;s specific documentation for the full list of available post options.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"post-settings-right-sidebar\">Post Settings (Right Sidebar)<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The right sidebar has two tabs: <strong>Post<\/strong> and <strong>Block<\/strong>. The Post tab contains global settings for the entire post:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"status-visibility\">Status &amp; Visibility<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Visibility<\/strong> \u2014 Public, Private, or Password Protected.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Publish Date<\/strong> \u2014 Schedule for future publication or back-date posts.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Stick to the top of the blog<\/strong> \u2014 Pin this post to the top of your blog page.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Pending review<\/strong> \u2014 Mark as pending for editor approval.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"permalink\">Permalink<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The URL slug is generated from your title automatically. You can edit it to create a shorter, cleaner URL. Make sure permalinks are enabled in <strong>Settings \u2192 Permalinks<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"categories-tags\">Categories &amp; Tags<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Assign one or more categories and tags to organize your content. You can read more about these in the <a href=\"https:\/\/wplook.com\/docs\/categories\/\">Categories<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/wplook.com\/docs\/tags\/\">Tags<\/a> documentation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"featured-image\">Featured Image<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The featured image represents your post across the site \u2014 on listing pages, in widgets, and in social media previews. Click <strong>Set featured image<\/strong>, upload or select an image, and it will be automatically resized to fit your theme&#8217;s layout.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"excerpt\">Excerpt<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The excerpt is a short summary displayed on post listing pages. If you leave it empty, WordPress uses the first few words of your post content.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"revisions\">Revisions<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>WordPress automatically saves revisions as you edit. To browse previous versions, click the <strong>Revisions<\/strong> link in the Post tab sidebar.
