In order to access the Customizer\u00a0go to Appearance<\/strong> \u2192<\/em> Customize<\/strong> from the WordPress Administration Panel.<\/p>\n

Site Identity<\/h2>\n
    \n
  • Site Title<\/strong>: This is the website name, it will appear\u00a0if a logo is not available.
    \nYou can add a logo instead of the Site Title<\/strong>\u00a0in\u00a0Appearance<\/strong> \u2192 Theme Options<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
  • Tagline<\/strong>: This is a short description of your site, which will appear under the logo or site title.<\/li>\n
  • Site Icon<\/strong>:\u00a0The site icon is also known as a favicon.\u00a0It will appear in the address bar, bookmarks bar and will be used by mobile browsers.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Colors<\/h2>\n

    This section allows\u00a0you to change the website colors.<\/p>\n

      \n
    • Header Text Color<\/strong>: The color of the\u00a0site title and description.<\/li>\n
    • Background Color<\/strong>:\u00a0The color of the site background.<\/li>\n
    • Link Color<\/strong>: The color of\u00a0all links, except\u00a0for menu and footer links.<\/li>\n
    • Hover Link Color<\/strong>:\u00a0The hover effect color for links.<\/li>\n
    • Accent Color:<\/strong>\u00a0The primary\u00a0color for the theme, used in places like buttons and the header background.<\/li>\n
    • Footer Color:<\/strong> The color in the footer.<\/li>\n
    • Parallax Color:<\/strong> The background color of parallax.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      Header Image<\/h2>\n

      The header image displayed below the menu, on the home page template only.<\/p>\n

      Background Image<\/h2>\n

      This will allow you to add a background image to your website.<\/p>\n

      Menus<\/h2>\n

      This section will allow you to manage navigation menus, such as the main theme navigation in the header. For more information regarding theme menus, please read the\u00a0Menu<\/strong> chapter.<\/p>\n

      Widgets<\/h2>\n

      This section will allow your to manage all widgets areas and to add,\u00a0remove or edit widgets. For more info regarding the widgets please read\u00a0the\u00a0Widgets\u00a0<\/strong>chapter.<\/p>\n

      Static Front Page<\/h2>\n

      This section will allow you to select a page to use as the home page template. By default, WordPress displays your latest posts on the home page, but this can be changed to display customizable widget areas. The widget areas can contain your latest posts, past and upcoming events, ministries, causes, sermons, projects, sponsors, or any other widgets available in WordPress.<\/p>\n

      To set up a page to use as a home page, go to\u00a0Pages<\/strong>\u00a0\u2192\u00a0Add New<\/strong>\u00a0from the WordPress Administration Panel. You can name this page whatever you like, and any content you enter here will be displayed alongside the widget areas. However, it\u2019s important you set the\u00a0Template\u00a0<\/strong>(under\u00a0Page Attributes<\/strong>)\u00a0to\u00a0Home page<\/strong>\u00a0for this to work correctly.<\/p>\n

      [wpls_alert alert_shape=”alert-shape-rectangular” alert_type=”alert-type-info” alert_width=”100%”]If the\u00a0Page Attributes<\/strong>\u00a0panel is not visible, go to\u00a0Screen Options<\/strong>\u00a0at the top of the screen, and make sure\u00a0Page Attributes<\/strong>\u00a0is enabled under\u00a0Boxes<\/strong>.[\/wpls_alert]<\/p>\n

      Using the same method, add another page for your posts, but this time do\u00a0not set the template to\u00a0Home page.<\/p>\n

      Next, return to the\u00a0Customizer<\/strong>\u00a0\u2192\u00a0Static Front Page<\/strong>. Set the\u00a0Front page<\/strong>\u00a0to the first page you created, and\u00a0the\u00a0Posts page<\/strong>\u00a0to the latter page you created.<\/p>\n
