Each order is given a unique&nbsp;<strong>Order ID<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>An order also has a&nbsp;<strong>Status<\/strong>. Order statuses let you know how far along the order is, starting with&nbsp;<strong>Pending<\/strong>&nbsp;and ending with&nbsp;<strong>Complete<\/strong>.&nbsp;The following order statuses are used:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>Pending payment<\/strong>:&nbsp;Order received (unpaid)<\/li><li><strong>Failed<\/strong>:&nbsp;Payment failed or was declined (unpaid). Note that this status may not show immediately and instead show as Pending until verified (i.e., PayPal)<\/li><li><strong>Processing<\/strong>:&nbsp;Payment received and stock has been reduced \u2013 the order is awaiting fulfillment. View these orders by going to&nbsp;<strong>WooCommerce<\/strong>&nbsp;\u2192&nbsp;<strong>Orders<\/strong>&nbsp;in the left hand admin menu.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Each order row displays useful details, such as the customer address, email, telephone number, and the order status. Click the order number or the&nbsp;<strong>View Order<\/strong>&nbsp;button to see the single order page (this is also where to edit order details and update the status).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter\"><a href=\"https:\/\/wplook.com\/docs\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/01\/Actions.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"240\" height=\"248\" src=\"https:\/\/wplook.com\/docs\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/01\/Actions.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2077\"\/><\/a><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Order rows also have handy shortcut buttons to quickly&nbsp;mark orders <strong>Complete<\/strong> and <strong>Processing<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter\"><a href=\"https:\/\/wplook.com\/docs\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/01\/Order-filtering.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"600\" height=\"108\" src=\"https:\/\/wplook.com\/docs\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/01\/Order-filtering-600x108.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2078\" srcset=\"https:\/\/wplook.com\/docs\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/01\/Order-filtering-600x108.png 600w, https:\/\/wplook.com\/docs\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/01\/Order-filtering-300x54.png 300w, https:\/\/wplook.com\/docs\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/01\/Order-filtering-768x139.png 768w, https:\/\/wplook.com\/docs\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/01\/Order-filtering-1024x185.png 1024w, https:\/\/wplook.com\/docs\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/01\/Order-filtering-450x81.png 450w, https:\/\/wplook.com\/docs\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/01\/Order-filtering-1200x217.png 1200w, https:\/\/wplook.com\/docs\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/01\/Order-filtering-900x162.png 900w, https:\/\/wplook.com\/docs\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/01\/Order-filtering.png 1230w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/a><figcaption>Filtering options available at the top of the <strong>Orders<\/strong>&nbsp;screen.<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>You can filter the list of displayed orders by date, status and customer by&nbsp;using the form at the top of the screen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"editingviewing-single-orders\">Editing\/viewing single orders<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>From the single order page not only can you view all order data, but also&nbsp;edit and update it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Change the order status<\/li><li><strong>Edit order items<\/strong>:&nbsp;modify the product, prices, and taxes<\/li><li><strong>Stock<\/strong>:&nbsp;Reduce and restore stock for an order<\/li><li><strong>Order Actions<\/strong>:&nbsp;Resend order emails to the customer using the drop down menu above the <strong>Save Order<\/strong> button. <strong>Send New Order<\/strong>, <strong>Processing Order<\/strong>, <strong>Completed Order<\/strong> or <strong>Customer Invoice<\/strong> emails \u2013 very handy if manually creating an order for your customers<\/li><li>Modify product&nbsp;<strong>Meta<\/strong>&nbsp;to edit product variations by removing and adding meta.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"order-data\">Order Data<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The <strong>order data<\/strong> panel lets you modify the order status, view (or change) the customer\u2019s order note, and change which user the order is assigned to.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You can also find customer billing and shipping addresses, along with a link to view other purchases the customer may have had in the past. To edit addresses, click <strong>edit<\/strong>&nbsp;and a form appears. This may be adjusted if, for example, the customer is tax exempt.<\/li><li><strong>Quantity<\/strong>: Number&nbsp;of items the user is purchasing<\/li><li><strong>Line Subtotal<\/strong>: Line price and line tax&nbsp;before&nbsp;pre-tax discounts<\/li><li><strong>Line Total<\/strong>: Line price and line tax&nbsp;after&nbsp;pre-tax discounts<\/li><li><strong>Add Meta<\/strong>: Add and remove meta to change product variable options.<\/li><li><strong>Sorting<\/strong>: Sort by Item, Cost, Quantity, and Total by clicking on the respective listed items.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>It\u2019s also possible to add additional fees for items. Enter these values yourself or have them partially calculated for you using the <strong>calc totals<\/strong> button. Totals comprise:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>Cart Discount<\/strong>:&nbsp;pre-tax discounts. Can be auto-calculated.<\/li><li><strong>Order Discount<\/strong>: post-tax discounts. Need to be input manually.<\/li><li><strong>Shipping cost<\/strong>: cost excluding tax<\/li><li><strong>Shipping method<\/strong>: name of the method<\/li><li><strong>Cart tax<\/strong><\/li><li><strong>Shipping tax<\/strong><\/li><li><strong>Order total<\/strong><\/li><li><strong>Payment method<\/strong>: name of the payment method used<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>There are two buttons available on this panel \u2013&nbsp;<strong>calc taxes<\/strong>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<strong>calc totals<\/strong>. Calculating taxes will use your prices, and calculate tax based on the customer\u2019s shipping address. If the customer\u2019s address has not been input, it defaults to the store\u2019s base location.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There is also a section called tax rows, which is where to define and name multiple tax rows. This is useful if, for example, you charge&nbsp;multiple taxes or use compound taxes. Values are displayed on the customer invoice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"section-2\">Adding an order manually<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Add an order using&nbsp;<strong>Add New<\/strong>&nbsp;at the top of the <strong>Orders<\/strong> page. Once added you can input customer details, add line items, and calculate totals. Set a relevant&nbsp;status&nbsp;for the new order, e.g., If it needs to be paid, use <strong>Pending<\/strong>. Save.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Use the&nbsp;<strong>Order Actions<\/strong>&nbsp;dropdown to email the <strong>Customer Invoice<\/strong> with payment instructions. Found in the sidebar of the <strong>Edit Order<\/strong> page.<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Notes can be a powerful tool for communicating with customers. Need to add a tracking number for shipping? Is stock delayed? Add a customer note and they are automatically&nbsp;notified.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>When added, customer notes are highlighted in purple.
