This guide covers how to install, activate, and update any WPlook WordPress theme.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Download the Theme<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
  1. Log in to your account at wplook.com\/my-account<\/a>.<\/li>
  2. Go to the Downloads<\/strong> tab.<\/li>
  3. Download the theme zip file (e.g. theme-name-wpl.zip<\/em>).<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    Install the Theme<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    Using the WordPress Admin Panel<\/h3>\n\n\n\n
    1. Log in to your WordPress admin panel.<\/li>
    2. Go to Appearance \u2192 Themes<\/strong>.<\/li>
    3. Click Add New<\/strong> at the top of the page.<\/li>
    4. Click Upload Theme<\/strong>.<\/li>
    5. Select the theme zip file you downloaded and click Install Now<\/strong>.<\/li>
    6. Once installed, click Activate<\/strong>.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n

      Using FTP<\/h3>\n\n\n\n
      1. Extract the theme zip file on your computer.<\/li>
      2. Using an FTP client, upload the extracted theme folder to wp-content\/themes\/<\/code> on your server.<\/li>
      3. Go to Appearance \u2192 Themes<\/strong> in your WordPress admin panel.<\/li>
      4. Find your theme and click Activate<\/strong>.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n

        After Activation<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

        After activating the theme:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

        1. Follow the notification to install recommended plugins (see Required Plugins<\/strong>).<\/li>
        2. Import the demo content via Appearance \u2192 Import Demo Data<\/strong> (see Demo Content Import<\/strong>).<\/li>
        3. Go to Appearance \u2192 Customize<\/strong> to configure the theme settings.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n

          Update the Theme<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
          1. Download the latest version from your account<\/a>.<\/li>
          2. Go to Appearance \u2192 Themes<\/strong>.<\/li>
          3. Activate a different theme temporarily (e.g. a default WordPress theme).<\/li>
          4. Delete the old version of the WPlook theme.<\/li>
          5. Upload and install the new version as described above.<\/li>
          6. Re-activate the WPlook theme.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n

            Using a child theme?<\/strong> Only update the parent theme. Never delete or update the child theme \u2014 your customizations live there.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

            Troubleshooting<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

            Missing Stylesheet Error<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

            This error means the wrong zip file was uploaded. Make sure you are uploading the theme zip file (e.g. theme-name-wpl.zip<\/em>), not the full download package.
