This guide covers how to install, activate, and update any WPlook WordPress theme.

Download the Theme

1. Log in to your account at wplook.com/my-account.
2. Go to the Downloads tab.
3. Download the theme zip file (e.g. theme-name-wpl.zip).

Install the Theme

Using the WordPress Admin Panel

1. Log in to your WordPress admin panel.
2. Go to Appearance → Themes.
3. Click Add New at the top of the page.
4. Click Upload Theme.
5. Select the theme zip file you downloaded and click Install Now.
6. Once installed, click Activate.

Using FTP

1. Extract the theme zip file on your computer.
2. Using an FTP client, upload the extracted theme folder to wp-content/themes/ on your server.
3. Go to Appearance → Themes in your WordPress admin panel.
4. Find your theme and click Activate.

After Activation

After activating the theme:

1. Follow the notification to install recommended plugins (see Required Plugins).
2. Import the demo content via Appearance → Import Demo Data (see Demo Content Import).
3. Go to Appearance → Customize to configure the theme settings.

Update the Theme

1. Download the latest version from your account.
2. Go to Appearance → Themes.
3. Activate a different theme temporarily (e.g. a default WordPress theme).
4. Delete the old version of the WPlook theme.
5. Upload and install the new version as described above.
6. Re-activate the WPlook theme.

Using a child theme? Only update the parent theme. Never delete or update the child theme — your customizations live there.

Troubleshooting

Missing Stylesheet Error

This error means the wrong zip file was uploaded. Make sure you are uploading the theme zip file (e.g. theme-name-wpl.zip), not the full download package. If you downloaded a package containing multiple files, look for the zip file inside it.
