You can say or show the world anything you like on your WordPress site. Here are some tips to help you write better posts.
Practice Accessibility
Make sure to give your images Alt Text, which is the text read out by screen readers instead of an image. This field is available both when inserting an image and when editing an existing one in the media library.
Use Paragraphs
No one likes to read writing that never pauses for a line break. Break your writing into paragraphs by pressing Enter in the editor to start a new block.
Use Headings
If you are writing long posts, break up the sections by using headings to highlight a change of subject. In the block editor, add a Heading block and select the appropriate level (H2 for main sections, H3 for subsections).
Spell Check and Proofread
Keep your posts looking professional by checking spelling and grammar. Your browser highlights spelling errors automatically. Take a moment to read through your post before publishing.
Think Before You Post
Once published, your content can be seen by visitors and indexed by search engines. Take a moment to read what you have written before hitting the Publish button.
Use Images and Videos
Visual content makes your pages more engaging. Add images using the Image block and videos using the Video or YouTube embed blocks. Always include descriptive alt text on images for accessibility and SEO.
Consider Your Audience
Before writing a post, consider who you are writing for. What information will they find useful, and how much do they already know about the subject? Keep your posts interesting and accessible.
Write Consistently
Write as frequently as you can, but do not let quantity get in the way of quality. Your visitors come for valuable content. A consistent publishing schedule helps build an engaged audience.
